Tolls and expenses during our trip.
We walk 1,647km of road on the stretches between the cities, plus about 500km walking, the total went from 2,000km on a journey full of surprises and beautiful landscapes!
Our biggest question at the beginning was, how much does it cost to travel by car between São Paulo and Florianópolis?
We did some research, but we couldn't come to a common denominator, so we decided to take advantage of the trip and include Curitiba on the route, since we would be passing very close by.
The journey began in São Paulo, stop Curitiba, we went to Floripafrom there to Balneário Camboriú and we went back to São Paulo.
But there are some very long stretches and planning is essential, especially when traveling with a small child.
The car we chose was extremely important, space and comfort are essential.
Can you imagine being squeezed in? Or sitting on a hard, uncomfortable bench? Jaméééé!
Or get a car that drinks too much? My pocket couldn't take it.
We went with Peugeot 408with a trunk to envy many cars, comfort and space to give and sell and very economical, according to the on-board computer we managed to beat the average of 15km with liter on the road, reaching in some stretches the impressive 18 km per liter!
I can say that traveling around Brazil by car is very worthwhile and the freedom it brings us is rewarding, the landscapes are incredible and so are the little stops!
In this post, I'll summarize all the tolls we passed through and some of the expenses we had, such as petrol and snacks.
Who knows, maybe I can answer your question about how much it costs to travel by car between São Paulo and Florianópolis.
São Paulo X Curitiba via Santos
On this stretch we had a bit of an unforeseen problem, it wasn't supposed to be via Santos, but as we were with a car that was participating in the license plate rotation in São Paulo and we didn't know much about the city, we ended up blindly trusting WAZE and when we saw it, it was too late! We were heading towards Santos!!!
Here I'll tell you a bit more about what happened.
There are long stretches without a single gas station, and the road is a little more tiring than the other.
In all, we made three stops, one for dinner and two to stretch our legs, splash water on our faces and take an energy drink.
There are stations with good facilities for meals, including a playground to keep the little ones entertained.
O Total of spent in stops was R$47,80
We spent almost double tollwe walk another 163km and in total we took 9 hours of trip!
Curitiba X Florianópolis
The journey is quiet and the vegetation along with the mountains makes for a spectacular landscape!
At certain times of the year, it's also easy to buy the famous boiled pine nuts on the side of the road, which I'm passionate about and obviously took advantage of!
The little pot with lots of pine nuts cost RS10.00.
Further on we stopped to stretch our legs and have a snack. R$24,00 for all three.
A distance is 302km and travel it took about 5 hours.
Florianópolis X Beto Carrero World
We took advantage of the fact that we were driving and took a day to visit the famous Beto Carrero WorldWe left Florianópolis and set off on our journey.
The journey is very short, we only passed through one tollbooth and took the opportunity to fill up the car closer to the park where we found cheaper service stations.
For the more adventurous, you can stay in Floripa and enjoy a day trip to the park.
They are only 115km away and about 1 h 28 min.
Beto Carrero X Balneário Camboriú
There are no tolls on this route.
I was always in doubt as to whether I would stay in the town of Beto Carrero or in nearby towns, so the occasion arose and I chose Balneário Camboriú!
A great choice, with a lively nightlife, ideal for finding a nice place to eat and enjoying the beach the next day.
That's what we did!
We left the park, headed for Balneário Camboriú and chose a restaurant on the waterfront, a delightful place.
The journey from the park to Balneario is just a 39kmit didn't take long 40 min.
Balneário Camboriú vs. São Paulo
We were very alert to the route and everything worked out. We left Balneário early and headed for Sampa!
The right route goes outside Curitiba and far away from Santos, which saved us a lot of time.
It would have been a lot cheaper if I'd known that beforehand, lol and the answer to the question:
- How much does it cost to travel by car between São Paulo and Florianópolis?
It would be a smaller cadin.
But the walk would still be long and we wanted to make as few stops as possible, so we made sure we had breakfast and got down to business!
The landscapes were even more beautiful, we took the whole road in daylight!
We saw and passed a lot of trucks, but nothing that slowed us down. quick snackswhich cost us R$23,70
We also bought pine nuts on the road, but this time we found cheaper prices. R$6,00 the pine nut pan.
We traveled 611 km and in total the trip lasted about 7 h 30 min.
How much does it cost to travel by car between São Paulo and Florianópolis?
O total toll was R$88,10 but it could have been R$64,60 if we hadn't wrong o way on the way.
The car came with a full tank and we added more R$387,89 of gasoline between trips and outings.
With snackswe spend R$111,50.
Total of 6 days traveling, R$587,49
