Venga is a typical Spanish tapas bar, but as it's located in the marvelous city, of course it has a touch of Rio. It's a beachfront restaurant with all the best things about Rio: the view of the princess of the sea with a pleasant atmosphere, first class service and wonderful food.<\/p>\n

Wonderful atmosphere<\/span><\/h4>\n

They couldn't have chosen a better name, this is Venga Chiringuito!<\/span>
\n<\/span>Chiringuito are the bars, kiosks and restaurants on the seafront in Spain, we're not in Spain, but we are on the seafront and with Spanish tapas, so the name fits, doesn't it?<\/span>
\n<\/span>This is one of those restaurants that makes you miss traveling. It's so good to be able to take these breaks in the middle of your work routine and remember how good it is to travel in terms of taste.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tapas and more tapas<\/span><\/h4>\n

As it's a tapas bar, it's easy to try several dishes!
\nWe had already been to Venga in the Botanical Garden, and I went crazy for the gnocchi there, but I was still dying to see this beachfront restaurant.<\/p>\n

But isn't it the same restaurant?! No! Each Venga has its own particularity and this restaurant, as it faces the beach, specializes in seafood.<\/p>\n

As a good water lover, I couldn't help but enjoy the delights that come from the sea.
\nAs soon as we received the invitation to visit the restaurant, I jumped for joy and was very excited! What would please me most? I was already thinking about everything I could find.

I went with my family to eat the famous tapas! Nhamm.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Ok Cris, but what are tapas? Is it a dish? No, it's a wonderful way to eat with friends or family. They are small portions of certain dishes to be savored and shared.<\/span><\/p>\n

I, a foodie as I am, love this way of eating, and I'm even thinking that I'm going to do very well in Spain!<\/span>
\n<\/span>This is the best way to try everything and not end up with a Magali reputation! I love to taste everything the place has to offer and eating at this beachfront restaurant made it all the more delicious.<\/span><\/p>\n

The little ones are very well received<\/span><\/h4>\n

It's great when the environment contributes to a wonderful meal, isn't it? I'm even happier when the restaurant is also prepared to welcome the little ones. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the normal menu and the kids' menu.<\/p>\n

\nThen came the paper with a bunch of fish, octopuses, stars and shells for Emmanuel to paint, which made our experience even better.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\"BEACHFRONT<\/span>Then I chose the little one's dish, fish nuggets with orange juice, which also came in a personalized cup for the little ones, even cuter, with the words in Spanish, the little ones also eat tapas, I thought that was great.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

And adults enjoy it too!<\/span><\/h4>\n

We ordered an octopus carpaccio which caught our attention because we'd never heard of it! We immediately wanted to try it and when it came we realized it was the right decision, humm! Not only is the dish beautiful, it's completely light and wonderful, but we didn't stop there.<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>I used and abused the idea of tapas, so we ordered the October tapa of the month, tuna ceviche! With a wonderful sauce, if they gave me that sauce with bread for the rest of lunch I'd be happy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"BEACHFRONT<\/span>Very tasty and went well with the bread basket that came with the carpaccio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eating at this beachfront restaurant made everything more enjoyable<\/span><\/h4>\n

But it wasn't time to stop yet, I wanted to try the much-talked-about prawn croquetas, generous dumplings, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"BEACHFRONT<\/span>They were so soft that the fork itself couldn't hold them, they fell apart between the teeth! Delicious consistency and mouth-watering just to look at.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>However, there was one tapa that caught our eye and was also the house's flagship dish: garlic prawns with a bread basket.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"BEACHFRONT<\/span>The huge prawns came with a succulent sauce with garlic chips. It was Igor's favorite tapa, while I was in doubt as to which one to choose, everything was so delicious.
\nCan you try the rest of the menu? lol I'll definitely have to come back.<\/span>

Main course<\/span><\/h4>\n

Time for the main course, we chose the whole Corvina, roasted with vegetables! The smell announced its arrival and in a few minutes a beautiful, well-prepared fish landed on our table!<\/span>
\n<\/span>We'd already eaten so much that I didn't know if I'd have a chance to taste it...<\/span><\/p>\n

HUMMMM, the onion, eggplant, baroa potato, everything absolutely matched the taste of the fish, which didn't even need to be cut.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Coming to Venga means dieting for the rest of the week, even Emmanuel asked to have his nuggets again, he loved every bite.<\/span><\/p>\n

To accompany our dish, we decided to order a Sangria de Fresas with ros\u00e9 sparkling wine, which went divinely with the climate in Rio. Completely refreshing and so light that we didn't even feel the alcohol in the drink! We ended on a high note, or almost.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The delights aren't over yet!<\/span><\/h4>\n

There was still one more stage of lunch, dessert! Among the most popular and most different, we went for the different one.
\n<\/span>Cream cheese with strawberry syrup, I thanked every bite for having ordered this option.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"BEACHFRONT<\/span>I've never seen this dessert anywhere and it's wonderful, one of the many things that makes me want to go back and eat it.<\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Now we finish with a coffee, which comes with a peanut toastie that you can't wait to eat.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>How can Venga be so delicious? I was already a fan of Venga Jardim Bot\u00e2nico, we always stop by when we want to eat something tasty in a relaxed atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, with this invitation to visit the restaurant facing Copacabana beach, I've become a fan too.<\/span>
\n<\/span>It's a great choice for those looking for a good beachfront restaurant!<\/span><\/p>\n
