Today we're going to travel beyond stunning landscapes and lush greenery! Let's feel and taste the flavors of Serra da Gardunha in the municipality of Fund\u00e3o!
At this point, it's full of bright colors and delicious reds that we eat with our eyes alone, but as soon as we bite into each delicious fruit, our taste buds go through the roof, and the fleshy red fruit fills our mouths with saliva and delight.

Serra da Gardunha in Fund\u00e3o<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Calm down\nI'll explain! In the Serra da Gardunha, more precisely in\nFund\u00e3o, there is the largest cherry production you'll ever see! The\nlandscapes and villages are beautiful. There's so much to see, but\nthe tasty cherries, which are so famous they've even won a festival.\nso famous they've even won a festival!

Fund\u00e3o cherry festival<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Fund\u00e3o Cherry Festival takes place every year at the beginning of June, so don't be discouraged if you missed it. The cherries and their orchards continue to sprout until the end of July, beginning of August, and take a stroll through the orchards full of these little red fruits. Not to be missed! Now, maybe you can pick a few and have a picnic in the middle of the trees? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We did it and I can tell you that it's an unforgettable trip! Resting and eating at the foot of a cherry tree, with delicacies made from cherries, is simply SENSATIONAL! I suggest you try the cherry pastry, the cherry liqueur, or anything cherry. It's all so good, I can't tell you which is better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An incredible itinerary!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In one weekend, you can discover a lot in one place. Can you imagine an itinerary with cherries, historic villages, schist villages and mountain villages all on the same route? Well, we've already seen cherries there, let's keep traveling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"ALPEDRINHAS<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Alpedrinha is one of Portugal's mountain villages. Its houses, streets and squares are beautiful and all made of stone. But I don't want to talk about beauty, I want to talk about a lively festival there! The Caminhos da Transum\u00e2ncia Festival. It's unique in the country and the locals open their doors for three days of festivities! With lots of music, local products and tradition in the village of Alpedrinha. It's incredible! It takes place every year on the third weekend in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it's not over yet! Next stop: here we go, and the ruins of a medieval castle welcome us from afar.
We've reached one of Portugal's twelve historic villages: Castelo Novo. The steep rocky outcrops in front of the landscape make it seem as if they are one thing, transforming the buildings and nature into something unique. It's beautiful.

The architecture of this region is unique, and the well-crafted stones, whether of the castle, squares or fountains, make everything a unique combination.

There are so many options for excursions. Who knows about a hot air balloon flight or even a canoe trip around Fund\u00e3o? There's horse riding, schist villages, climbing and tree climbing! Tourism for all types and tastes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
