One of the best views in Rio de Janeiro.

Located at an altitude of 360 meters, between the districts of Botafogo, Flamengo, Laranjeiras and Cosme Velho, it's an incredible viewpoint that shows why we call Rio de Janeiro the wonderful city. It's such a beautiful view that it looks like a movie scene or a magazine photo, you know when you wonder if it really exists? It's an amazing panorama that brings together Rio's best postcards. From there you can see Sugar Loaf Mountain, Maracanã, Lagoa and Christ the Redeemer high above, close by, blessing it all. Every time I've been, I've ended up taking the car, and it's been very quick and easy. It's very simple to get there, there's an access from Cosme Velho, up Ladeira dos Guararapes. I was very happy with the local policing, which is very good, and best of all, the entrance is free, which is a great option for those who want to save money on the entrance to the Christ and observe the beautiful view of the city, in my opinion even more beautiful, with the Christ right next door giving it an extra charm. There's also a bonus: there's a helipad on the opposite side of the observation deck, where you can take panoramic flights and see the other side of the city, complementing the view with Christ looking down at you, making it the best place to photograph him. It's very easy to get there and there's parking on site. Be careful not to enter the wrong place, only go to the favela if you're doing the trail. [small_header]How to get there by foot [/small_header] Go to Favela Santa Marta, take the elevator to the top of the favela and from there follow the trail, which takes around 30 to 50 minutes, to the viewpoint. The trail is slippery and steep.
