Trikke Tour : Getting to know the Olympic Boulevard

Trikke Tour is a much more fun way to get around the city.

Last week we were invited to see a brand new ride in Rio de Janeiro, in an even newer discipline, the trikke, and I was super curious and rushed to see it.
What is this Trikke, anyway? It's a motorized tricycle, super stylish and a lot of fun!
I really enjoyed riding it along the entire length of the Orla Conde, from the famous Olympic Boulevard to Praça XV, much more comfortable and cool!
But hold on and I'll explain everything

The route

The tour was designed so that we could get to know every detail of this area, which has recently been revitalized, a mixture of pure history and modern art.
We left the AquaRioThe guide tells us all about the history of our beloved Rio de Janeiro.

Artist Kobra's Ethnicity Panel

The first stop is the Etnia panel by artist Kobra, 3,000 square meters of color and giant faces illustrating the five continents, almost impossible not to stop and contemplate.

The work is truly incredible, one of the best places to take pictures, so get off the Trikke quickly and take a click.
Yes, lol from experience, if you're driving, don't take pictures hehehe, it's very difficult! No, I didn't fall 😉

Mauá Square

The tour continues and we pass panels by artists Rita Wainer, Luiz Zerbini, Vik Muniz, Raul Mourão, Acme, among others.
They really brought the place to life and made the area much more pleasant, every carioca knows the good that this revitalization has done.

During all the stops, a bit of the history of Rio de Janeiro is told and I ended up learning and remembering a lot about our city, which has a very rich and important history in the growth of Brazil.

Museum of Tomorrow

We kept walking and came to another stop!
We passed in front of the Rio Art Museum, arriving at the Museum of Tomorrow, where we walked around it.

Another place where it's impossible not to stop and take lots of photos! The museum is really beautiful and the landscape helps a lot, it's also where the letters Rio de Janeiro are, we also passed by the Rio Art Museum

Candelaria Esplanade.

Photos taken, we headed towards the Esplanada da Candelária, with its majestic church in the background and the Pira do Povo (People's Pyre) that makes up the new scenery. It was very cool to see the history of the 17th century, the year the church was built, intertwine with today.

Two completely different moments went very well together and the pyre by the church was simply magnificent!
The Guide also tells us some interesting things about the place, which I obviously won't tell you so as not to spoil the surprise, hihihi.

XV Square

The Trikke Tour continues along Guanabara Bay and we arrive at the Praça XV Fountain, pure history!
The Royal Family is latent in all the information the guide gives us, what an incredible place that was almost forgotten in our city.

It's great to remember history in such a fun way, how many important things happened right there! A real open-air museum.
Traveling through history is very cool.

Back

As soon as we'd finished all the information and stops on the way, we were back in one shot.
Which turns out to be a lot of fun, too, as you get to grips with the trike on the way there!

And have a lot of fun on the way back, cornering, accelerating, stopping and playing.
I loved it, but it's addictive and I already want to go again, will I buy one of these toys? Hehehehe.

What I found

I confess that at first I thought I wouldn't be able to ride, or at least I wouldn't be able to balance.
But with the guide's explanation and the little lesson he gave us before we started, I got the hang of it and enjoyed it more and more.
In fact, I thought it was the best way to get to know the Olympic Boulevard and the whole region, since the route is long and with a trike you don't even feel the distance and you still have fun.

I wonder if I could carry one of these in my suitcase for future trips? My trips would be so much easier hehehee
Too bad the little one can't walk yet.
I really enjoyed it! I definitely want to do it again.

Schedule

Duration The Trikke Tour lasts an average of 45 minutes from departure to return at AquaRio, with departures every hour from Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm.

However, if you're just going on the Trikke Tour, the price is RS99.99.
Of course, I ended up doing both, lol especially for cariocas, the price of the AquaRio ticket ends up being much more affordable and the two cost almost R$99.99.
