A haven for fun and relaxation

Oh Minas Gerais, those who know you never forget! And so it was with me.
I was introduced by my parents to this paradise of abundant nature, beautiful waterfalls, delicious gastronomy and full of history, it was love at first sight, every city we traveled to this feeling was renewed and I think that's why I was so eager for my little one to get to know the beauties of Minas Gerais!

I was soon anxious to find out how we would be staying in São João Del Rei, I love the hotels in the region and the breakfasts even more

I remembered every bit of happiness I had with my parents and was able to share it with my husband and son, almost as if I were back in time, I was able to unite the memory of my parents with me as a little girl with the memory of the present, me with my son, if I gave my parents this joy I had today, I'm already too happy, what a good feeling!

Endless happiness

I did exactly as they did, I went to a hotel further away from the hustle and bustle of the city, immersed in nature, with one, or rather two, swimming pools to satisfy my addiction to water, and I can tell you, this gene is strong, you see? What a pool-addicted boy...

Which hotel we chose to stay in São João Del Rei

We chose the Garden Hill Golf and Resort, with an absolutely stunning lawn, golf course, indoor and outdoor kids' area, corporate space, restaurant that my God in heaven!!! A fitness area to burn off the fat from eating in Minas Gerais, a court... And everything you could wish for.

Guaranteed fun in the kids' areas

I could go on all night about the structure, which surprised me so much, but what really delighted me was seeing the happiness on my little one's face when he sat on each toy, when he dived in or even when he had such a large space with such fresh air so that he could run around happily, jumping for joy.

And when we had to go to the bedroom, there was more fun in the shower, with a beautiful whirlpool bath and a strategically placed window overlooking the beautiful garden.

The room's balcony was also responsible for moments of joy, where Emmanuel played with his pets as if they were on a real farm. The room is so big that it looks more like an apartment, with a gigantic double bed, super cozy, as well as a sofa bed that was just the right height for our little one to sleep on, as if it couldn't get any better, they still took extreme care to make sure he didn't fall out of bed, putting in another guard.

Oops, bedtime! Emmanuel wants to play, so let's take advantage of the heated pool until he's used up all his energy! The environment is completely protected from the wind and it's easy to go there at any time, it would be impossible to enjoy it more!

But who says that's enough pool for today?! Until dinner arrives, we go to the ball pool, which is right next to the restaurant.

Hotel restaurant

The Albatroz Restaurant is considered one of the best in the region, and what kind of food was that from Minas Gerais? I ate praying and repeated a few times, I didn't even want to try other places there, dinner was already our place, right!

During the day we ate wherever we went, just to stave off hunger, but we also booked a day with lunch at the hotel to enjoy a nice lunch with the pool in the background, an extra touch to the meal, that view is not for everyone.
Tip: don't miss the tropeiro or tutu, seriously, you won't regret it! And they are very, very well served! Serves the whole family

What we thought of our accommodation in São João Del Rei

It was a unique experience and incredible happiness! Seeing their little eyes radiating so much light, the hotel gave us so much peace that it was hard to leave. But take a deep breath, because life isn't all smooth sailing, swimming pools and relaxing atmospheres. The region is rich in history and it would be heresy not to enjoy the towns.
Both São João Del Rei, which is 7km away, and Tiradentes, which is only 12km away! Unmissable cities that have made history in Brazil.
We really enjoyed ourselves and went on some nice rides, such as the Maria Fumaça from São João Del Rei, but I'll leave that for another post. In the meantime, enjoy a little bit of the video that just came out on the YouTube channel and is here at the beginning of the text 😉
