A cable car for children, adults and all ages.
As good cariocas, we love our tourist attractions with their incredible landscapes.
It's great to be able to get away from it all and be in stunning scenery in a short space of time.
It's even better when these landscapes and sights are accompanied by really cool attractions!!! As is the case with Morro da Urca, which is bringing the children's cable car every Saturday morning.
How does it work?
It's simple! Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., visitors to Morro da Urca can be enchanted by the Circo Macaco Prego show.
That's why it's called Bondinho das crianças, but anyone who thinks that the show is only for children is mistaken - we really enjoyed it.
This month they're bringing the theme of Noah's Ark, inspired by the album "Arca de Noé" by the late Vinícius de Moraes.
They mix Brazilian culture, music, the environment, history and lots of fun for the kids!
Folia and batucada.
We went in the middle of Carnival and I can assure you that it was very lively there!
Children's songs and nursery rhymes come to life and take on a new theme in the voices and performances of Macaco Prego.
There's also something new, which will delight the kids - after all, has anyone seen your Ravi's flea?
Emmanuel loved it and we enjoyed it too, all the interaction and creativity turned our outing into a perfect family program.
It's great to be able to combine a more sober tourist attraction with something geared towards children, which makes life much easier for moms and dads.
After all, between a look at the wonderful view and a tasty lunch, there's entertainment to keep the little ones entertained!
We really enjoyed it
I thought it was nice that, in addition to the costumes and all the affection from the Circo do Macaco Prego staff, they also took care to include activities.
Huh? More things besides the show? Yes lol, as our theme was carnival, there was a workshop to customize the rattles!
An excellent souvenir of the tour.
But is it only in Morro da Urca?
No! After the show, we took the opportunity to go up to the second station of the cable car and enjoy our beautiful city even more.
Sugar Loaf Mountain, the second station on the cable car, is 396 meters high.
What a wonderful city!
The Sugarloaf Mountain conveys peace and a jaw-dropping view that makes many locals envious.
Sorry Eiffel Tower, Paris is beautiful, but my Rio manages to make us drool a little more.
Cable car
By the way, did you know that the cable car was inaugurated on October 27, 1912? That's a long time, I don't think I'd have the courage to go up at that time, lol.
I'm terrified of heights and luckily today it's a very easy and enjoyable climb.
So much so that around 1.6 million visitors pass through, can you imagine how many people come to see our beauties? It's a source of great pride.
Wonderful Carioca
