He who has a mouth goes to Rome! Or are you going to Rome? Beautiful city, some tips from Rome!
How to get to the city from the airport
I took a normal train that connects to the metro, I just had to change carriages, got off at a transition station and that was it, I made the change easily.
Tip: I took the normal train (cheaper), but if you take the express train you'll be more comfortable and relaxed.
Hotel
I stayed at Nerva Accommodation I got there easily from Rome airport by train and metro, the hotel's station is Cavour, very close to the Colosseum.
Tip: Check in is until 4 p.m. If you're arriving later, you'd better let us know, or you'll be left at the door desperate and think you've been hit by a pipe like me, hehehe There's no one at the hotel after this time, I got help by asking at a shop opposite who helped me on the spot by calling the guy in charge.

Gelato + Trevi Fountain
Of course, I'll start with the best gelato in the world, or for us mere mortals, "ice cream" if it can even be called ice cream. It's located near the Trevi Fountain, and there are several flavors, it looks like a sweet from the Gods and to pass through Rome and not taste it is heresy!
Well, I don't even need to talk about the Trevi Fountain, it's a beautiful place, both at night and during the day.
Vatican City
St. Peter's Basilica is breathtakingly beautiful, but when I went looking for it, I ended up finding the Vatican Museum first, which doesn't just have works from the church, it has a LOT of good stuff, and it's well worth it, not to mention that there are works there like the Sistine Chapel, which is impossible not to fall in love with, but I had to queue very long to buy the ticket and get in, it's very crowded.
TIP: You can buy tickets in advance at site They charge a fee of 4 euros, so if you're short of time, it's worth it.
Colosseum
It's an enchanting place, another must-see in the city. The ticket price is a bit scary, but you can't die without having seen such an important place, not to mention that the Colosseum ticket entitles you to the Roman Forum, which is another place that takes you back in time.
Tip: I found a website that gathers prices for several important attractions in Rome, there you can find the Vatican museum as well as other things.
Piazza Venezia
Magnificent, every step of the way one building is more beautiful than the next, with incredible lighting at night, it's worth going at both times.
Transportation around the city
I rented a scooter, but the traffic there is absurdly CRAZY! And the map they gave me was the same thing, so if you don't have time like me, and you're renting a scooter too, be very careful! There are streets that you can't enter, and intersections where you almost die, because the cars enter anyway, of course there must be some logic to it, but I didn't understand it.
TIP: When you ask the Romans for information, have a pencil or a tape recorder handy, they speak in such detail that they get lost in the middle of the information. But sometimes you find a nice old man who will take you to the place you want (I was lucky!).
Where to eat
Quick snacks -> Near my hotel, or the cavour metro station, heading towards Colosseo, there's a mini market, where I starved myself with snacks and soft drinks or near the Vatican there's a large market, where I bought my salads with pasta for 4 euros, and bottles of water.
TIP: Always have a bottle of water with you, even if it's empty. The city has several points with public drinking fountains where you can fill them up. Piazza Venezia and the Vatican are some of the places I can think of with drinking fountains.
Restaurants -> I went to a good restaurant, near my hotel or the Cavour metro station, in the direction of the Colosseum, on this street there are several options with wonderful pizzas accompanied by glasses of wine, which are not to be missed.
TIP: The pizzas in Rome are individual and a little larger than the size of a plate, but don't be alarmed by the size, they're so good that by the time you see them, you've already finished them.
Well, I hope I've helped you with some tips. If you have any more questions, just comment below and I'll answer them =)

Cris...what's up?
Did you only visit Rome in Italy?
I also went to Sicily, an incredible place with clear waters!
Were you able to buy advance tickets online for St. Peter's Basilica too? Do you know the price?
The basilica didn't have a ticket, you just had to go through the security barrier. What does have a ticket is the Vatican Museum, which has works from all over the world, and the Sistine Chapel, which was an expensive 20 euros.
I bought it there, and I had to queue! Another thing, if I'm not mistaken, the Museum doesn't open on Sundays, only on the last Sunday of the month, and the Pope doesn't stay in the basilica in summer either, so I didn't get to see his blessing!
In the second sequence of photos, what kind of "gelato" is that with two shells, to eat like boiled corn? The only thing missing was boiled corn gelato! hehehe Great tips!
I'm researching hotels in Rome and one of the options I'm looking at is the Nerva. Would you recommend it? Do you suggest any other? Thank you
I recommend and loved our stay!
