Touring Rio, after all we live in a city full of charms and being able to share that with the world is a privilege! Playing tourist where you live is a great way to get out of the routine, so you can even kill the urge to travel...lol What an abstinence, I hope it ends soon.
We went to our favorite, the pop star, the master protector, Christ the Redeemer, he has an incredible energy and I'm not just talking about the religious part of it, but the grandeur!
It led me to reflect: what do we want and what is our place on Earth? Looking at that gigantic statue made me think about what human beings are capable of, of course it's just one of the wonders man has created, a way of saying thank you and keeping the positive energy about the city, the incredible feeling of being protected wherever you go, and from there it really does watch us, you can see every corner of the Marvelous City, quite an opportunity for that epic photo!
Unfortunately, we didn't have much luck this time, the weather was completely overcast, even Christ was shy at times, but he still has his charm, floating in the clouds like this. It was a real shame that we couldn't show the little one the wonderful view we have of Rio from up there, which ended up making the tour go by a lot faster too, in fact, we went on one of the quieter days, as the weather was bad. Even so, as it got closer to lunchtime, more and more people arrived from all over the world, and you could hear every language. In other words, the earlier the better, don't go thinking that because it's a weekday it will be empty, not least because it's frequented by tourists.
Getting there is easy, practical, safe and comfortable with the accredited Paineiras - Corcovado vans. The boarding points are Catete, Copacabana and Barra da Tijuca. Departure times are pre-defined and tickets already include a trip to the statue. Children under 4 years old are free and prices vary according to the location.
Well, Cris? BUT YOU'VE NEVER BEEN TO CHRIST BEFORE? Of course, as a good carioca and incurable traveler, I've been to Christ's many times, I already missed it. Now, with one more reason, to see the new structure of the Paineiras visitor center, especially the Mirante das Paineiras Restaurant, tourists have a great option for lunch during a busy day in Rio de Janeiro, and the best part is that it's a buffet, and it's not for "Gringoes", it's a fair price and compatible with the quality. The menu is varied, with salads for all tastes, fish, chicken, ribs, feijoada, snacks and everything you can imagine, it's very Brazilian and international at the same time, even #bbpelomundo ate with us.
It's a pity the day was cloudy, it must be a delight to have lunch on the deck in the middle of the Atlantic forest, with the right to the sound of birds along with good music, but be careful! I heard that there's a little monkey that loves to appear to visitors, make fun and even steal some bread, lol.
Well, since the view didn't help, we opted to stay in the enclosed area. The restaurant doesn't have a car seat for the little ones, a detail that needs to be thought about, here's a tip. They have thought of the little ones, and yes, in the toilets, with the option of a family bathroom! This helps mom a lot, in case dad needs a hand, after all, we know that not always just one of us can do the job, lol.
The restaurant is open until 4 p.m., so we chose to have lunch before visiting the visitor center, which is open until 7 p.m. This made us much more comfortable with the schedule.
The souvenir store will make your hair stand on end! You can decorate your entire house with their products, one thing is more beautiful than the other, nothing too cliché but with great taste! #bbpelomundo was crazy about the monkey mug, I ended up bringing it home. He also asked for a bunch more plush toys depicting our fauna, the most rich and delicate thing!
In addition, on the second floor there is the Protective Forest Exhibition, where you can find information about environmental degradation, geographical data, fauna and flora of the Tijuca Forest region and lots of interactivity! There's a part where you really feel like you're in the middle of it, very cool! #bbpelomundo went crazy!
We played a lot and I also managed to teach him about conservation, or at least plant a little bit in his head about how important it is to preserve the environment, even to take care of the animals that he already loves so much.
I loved the space, very entertaining and informative, as well as showing and further whetting my desire to travel through our natural parks, scattered throughout Brazil, there is so much preciousness that we have here, and we don't even know it!
I loved the upgrade that the Christ has received, it has become an all-day outing that is great to do with the family
