The delights of Floripa
Batú Space
Espacio Batú is the perfect place for those looking for something more casual! With shared tables and lots of fun, it couldn't be missing from our tips on where to eat in Florianópolis.
It's in one of the neighborhoods I love most in Floripa, Campeche. That's where I stayed the first time I visited Ilha da Magia, so it's a special place for me.
Art is even present in its structure, where two containers with wooden roofs and closed with pallets make it all the more charming!
Each container is on one side, one with the kitchen and the other as an art gallery, where artistic performances take place from time to time.
I thought it was great.
Games and running.
With pool and darts, you can combine fun and food in the same place, as well as having a great time with family or friends.
The games area is at the back, and I don't need to tell you that we had a lot of fun, didn't we? Emmanuel even tried his hand at pool with us, hehehe.
But what he really enjoyed was the lawn that intersects the two spaces, he ran a LOT and it was certainly his favorite spot.
On clear days, it's also a great place to lie down and enjoy the show the stars put on.
Home-cooked food.
The star of the house and its differential turns out to be the seasoning, everything very fresh and tasting like home cooking.
They take care to prepare everything on the spot, even though it's hamburgers, sandwiches and snacks, nothing tastes like ready-made restaurant food.
I was delighted and it felt like my mother was in the kitchen.
Emmanuel and I opted for the beef strips with potatoes, while Igor went for the delicious hamburger, which I also devoured. It was huge!
The starter was sweet potato chips, all just right, very crunchy. Have another one please!
But we don't eat without drinking lol so I'll have this soda with vodka and green apple. Igor stayed with the good old beer and Emmanuel with his juice, lol.

Café Culture
Undoubtedly a place where coffee lovers should look when it comes to where to eat in Florianópolis or a guide to restaurants in Floripa!
Café Cultura is great and there's also a kids' area for parents' peace of mind, yay!
Emmanuel painted and embroidered while we chose our dishes.
They are so good at what they do that they were awarded the prize for best coffee shop in Santa Catarina by Veja magazine.
The place has been operating since 2004 and has been winning over the taste buds of locals and tourists alike, and I'm not just talking about coffee and snacks.
Food and coffee, the perfect combination!
They are also artists when it comes to "elaborate dishes", can you imagine a filet in coffee sauce? Lol we had lunch there and as a good coffee nut I couldn't have chosen any other dish.
Fillet of beef in coffee sauce with broccoli risotto sounds exotic to me.
I can't let it go, but would I like it? He's handsome and ... HE'S TO DIE FOR!!!!
The tastes complement each other and the coffee is very subtle, nhamm, nhamm.
Even Igor, who isn't such a fan of coffee, wanted to steal my plate, but it only took me giving him a "DON'T TOUCH!" look for him to redeem himself lol and enjoy his spaghetti with cheese sauce and medallion, which was also very good!
That would be my second choice.
For the little ones.
Now that my little one is eating big food, choosing a good dish for him is essential.
But a kids' menu always comes in handy and having this option when talking about where to eat in Florianópolis is very good.
Emmanuel chose the most traditional kids' dish lol, breaded chicken, rice and potatoes.
Of course, the orange juice couldn't be missing, just the right amount of sweetness.
Oh how I love homes that think of their parents!
The kids' area is super cool, with lots of toys that ensured we had peace and quiet at mealtimes.
There's even a big puff that Emmanuel can rest on for a while.
By the way, one thing I loved is that the kids' area has tables right next to it, so you can eat and keep an eye on them at the same time, without even having to get up.
Needless to say, I loved my lunch, right? Without a doubt, I highly recommend this place to eat in Florianópolis!

CozaLinda
I love eating in places where the history of the restaurant blends with that of the city! So if you're looking for where to eat in Florianópolis in this style, Cozalinda can't be left out.
Built in a 1940's mansion facing the sea and decorated to perfection, don't forget to look at the hanging cages, lol.
They really value the local culture, whenever possible telling us a bit more about its stories and legends, like why it's called Magic Island!
Are you curious? Hihihi, I'm not going to tell you about this to encourage you to take part in the Walk Tour that CozaLinda sometimes organizes.
A very creative way of not letting such cool legends die.
Definitely a unique experience!
By the way, do you know where this name comes from? Cozalinda? Hehehe, it's a manzinha expression that translates as cool, like our carioca maneiro lol.
Beer
Cozalinda is a brewery with a wide range of labels.
There's something for everyone and we tried a few, after all we took the night off to enjoy them with our friends.
Among the labels were Coza Linda Pilsen, which is a little more full-bodied than traditional pilsen, and the fruity and refreshing Curió Witbier!
I prefer stronger beers, but I loved the "freshness" of the curio too, and I'm not even that much of a beer fan, lol.
Food
To eat, we opted for snacks! But it was actually more like a full meal!
PMM, eh???lol Picadinho Misto Monstro and I mean monster, it's so big that it has to come on two plates!!! It's 200 grams of garlicky picanha, 20 grams of calabresa acebolada, 200 grams of seasoned pork shank and 200 grams of chicken schnitzel!!! Perfect for family and friends, it's A LOT OF THINGS.
Ahhh and it's not over, there's still a mini portion of fries and polenta, plus farofa, are you going with a battalion? This is the best option for R$76.00, all extremely delicious.
I confess I must have eaten almost all of it on my own, lol I loved the polenta, the well-seasoned pepperoni and the tender ham.
But don't worry, if you're a vegetarian there are also options, such as lentil meatballs, which I was drooling over, or even the vegetarian board with great options.
Wait a minute, it's not over, for dessert we ordered Churros, nhammm it was good! It comes with a dulce de leche to eat with a spoon, and that's certainly what I did hihihi!

Taste of the Coast
It's a quiet place with exuberant nature and breathtaking scenery, even better knowing that the owner of the establishment has gone out to catch the fish he'll be preparing later.
Sounds like a dream, doesn't it? Well then, here's another excellent tip on where to eat in Florianópolis.
I didn't know the Costa da Lagoa until I came to #Expedição Floripa, and I was delighted with the location, a little further away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can only get there by boat and we took a beautiful trail with incredible surprises along the way.
Food
And to top it all off, the food is extremely tasty. We started with a portion of very fresh oysters au gratin, which left my appetite raving.
Then came the main course, and I almost fell over.
Can you imagine? How good would that be? Chef Jájá himself catches the fish and prepares it with the greatest love! The vibe there is amazing.
We tried both the Anchovy and the Mullet, grilled over charcoal with roe farofa and mango sauce, think?
I preferred the Anchovy, but I confess that choosing one was difficult! Our little one ate the main course with us, so needless to say, he was delighted, right? We just didn't give him the starter lol, I thought he'd find the texture too different.
Well, we ate and repeated a few times! This is a restaurant to go to and not do anything else that day, just rest.
Enjoy the ride.
To get to the Costa da Lagoa you need to take a boat and to get out too, so make the most of this day.
Play along the roads and trails of the coast, appreciate every detail, there are many surprises along the way and during the boat trip.
I highly recommend including the Costa in your itinerary, it's a beautiful place
However, if you're just looking for a place to eat in Florianópolis and you're on the run, Restaurante Sabor da Costa has a pier very close by, just ask to get off at point 16! We got off at 8 and walked there.

Boteco Go who you want
Everyone who follows me knows that I love public markets; for me, it's where the local culture is best reflected.
Whenever possible I visit and delight in the markets, and it's in Florianópolis' Public Market that we find Boteco Vai Quem Quer.
No, the name is not just a joke, it was inspired by the beach that used to be next to the Public Market and was called Vai Quem Quer.
Another establishment that I recommend to those looking for where to eat in Florianópolis with a very Manezinha da Ilha experience.
With the attendants dressed in character and hats for us to take photos, lol, of course I took advantage of it.
Food
We tried a delicious typical dish, which has an even more typical name lol, manézinho da ilha!
Breaded or filleted seasonal fish, with white rice, red beans from Santa Catarina, homemade farofa, mashed potatoes and vegetables of the day.
Igor, Emmanuel and I opted for breaded fish, we loved it! Very dry and crunchy, delicious! The little one ate almost the entire plate of big people, leaving only a little salad and rice and beans, was it good? lol
For drinks, we decided to try the local soft drinks. Guaraná Pureza and Laranjinha da Serra, I loved the little bottles and the taste was different from all the soft drinks I've ever had, I liked the guaraná more than the orange.
Environment
I love the mix of tables and restaurants, along with stores selling a bit of everything - you can even find fresh fish there.
In fact, that's where most of the fresh fish that ends up on your plate comes from, hehehe.
There are huge tables or more reserved ones, with people socializing and singing, it's a party.
The best place to understand the heart of Santa Catarina, stroll around the center and learn about its history.
I loved being able to wander around and buy my souvenirs while I waited for my meal and Igor played with the little one.
There's no doubt that this is a great way to eat in Florianópolis and still experience a bit of the city.

Catarina Brewery
As soon as we arrived, we noticed the rustic house, with its floorboards and charming decoration that makes up the entrance!
The brewery doesn't deny what it's here for, with a menu of 47 craft beer labels, all from the South! In fact, most of them are from Santa Catarina, with just one from Rio Grande do Sul.
Actually, this tip is more for those looking for a place to drink than to eat in Florianópolis, lol I confess we spilled a lot that night.
We tried a lot of their wide range of options ehehehe, but we didn't go out swapping legs.
Beers
Leandro Lemos, one of the brewery's partners, did the honors for us.
Each beer we tasted was briefly explained, which made all the difference when tasting it.
And there were many!
Pilsen from Kilsen, Sandiego Apa and Sour Sandiego from Barco, Ovelha Negra and West coast IPA from Unika, Weizenbock Beirbaum and 5 more on the bill! That's a lot.
Are you curious to know who the intruder is? Lol it's Barco, based in Porto Alegre
It's hard to say which one I liked best, I even tried beer with coffee! Hello? Huh? Cumaaa? That's right, beer with a coffee "submarine" and it was good!
Food
All right, we did go to drink, but we had to eat too, didn't we? Hehehe
We didn't really go with the intention of getting drunk, lol, and there was also the little one who needed to eat.
Then we tried some bean cakes and for me the biggest winner of the night, the zucchini pizza, what a treat! Crunchy and tasty, nhamm.
Emmanuel, who loves pizza, loved it too, and of course it was all accompanied by his orange juice.
By the end of the night the little one was already on his 15th sleep hehehee
