Pousada Terê Parque - Your corner of the mountains

We've found a great option for accommodation with children in Teresópolis!
In the heart of the Serra Fluminense and in the lands that pay homage to Empress Teresa Cristina, which is where the name Teresópolis comes from.

The Pousada Terê Parque has a beautiful structure for entertaining the little ones.
With a huge area, you'll find a covered children's play area, a playground, a swimming pool and even a little farm.
We spent a wonderful weekend there and I can say that it is the perfect option for accommodation with children in Teresópolis.

5 Intrip Travelers Meeting

We went to Teresópolis for the 5th Intrip Travelers' Meeting.
We had already taken part in other meetings promoted by them and we certainly couldn't be left out.
There were a total of 15 blogs that I'm a huge fan of, super dear to me, apart from the speakers who were very good, but I'll tell you about that in another post, hihihih you'll be curious!

It was a busy weekend, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the best that Pousada Terê Parque has to offer.
The only thing that was left for later was the tchibum in the pool.
Our stay at the pousada was an invitation due to the Travelers' Meeting promoted by Intrip.

Bedroom

Our welcome couldn't have been better, we were greeted with two complimentary bottles of water to put in our minibar.
They make the minibar available for you to use in the best possible way and if you want to fill it up with a few things, just buy them or ask reception to include them in the rate.

This is great because I always do a bit of shopping when I arrive in cities, with things for the little one and having space in the fridge helps a lot.
The room is very spacious with an ernooome bed and plenty of room for a crib, armchair and even a private balcony.

Our bench with a chair couldn't be missing either lol, we love putting all our photographic material there.

The bathroom is good and the shower spacious, everything a family needs when staying with children in Teresópolis.
However, I didn't think the water was that warm, I practically sauna in the bath! For Emmanuel, on the other hand, it was just the right temperature; as he's allergic, I always put the water in a little colder.

Don't forget: The blanket in the closet is a delight, very cuddly and the TV has lots of children's channels.

Breakfast

Everyone who follows me knows that breakfast is my weak point.
Lots of treats at the crack of dawn makes me much happier!
Emmanuel had his usual scrambled egg and delicious cheese bread.

And this time, in addition to the orange juice and nescau, he also tried the orange juice with beet and, to my surprise, he loved it! It was really sweet.
We, however, tried everything we could, lol I liked that every day was a surprise.

Canjica and onion bread one day and bread with gorgonzola and a banana pie, which by the way was divine, the next.
Needless to say, we all left very well fed, right? Ready for our daily activities lol.

Plenty of room to play.

The hostel has lots of things for the little ones.
That's why I say it's a great place to stay with children in Teresópolis, and I'll give you a few more reasons why.

Little Farm

It's very difficult for children not to like animals and at the pousada you have the chance to interact with rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, teal and chickens.

It was very difficult to get our little one out of there, it was the first thing he asked for when he woke up!

It was a dream come true to be able to pet the bunnies and chase the chickens, hehehehe.
He also met the guinea pig, a little animal he'd never had the chance to see before, and he loved it.

Getting dirty is good and so is having contact with these animals, something that is increasingly rare among children.

Horta

As soon as we left the farm, I was able to introduce the little one to the vegetable garden and show him where the rabbit's carrots come from and the things that are normally on his plate.

It turned out to be not only a simple stay with a child in Teresópolis, but also an educational stay.

Macaws

The lodge has some beautiful and colorful macaws, super cute, and it's possible to have a bigger corner with these beautiful animals.

They are super docile and affectionate, they eat out of your hand and don't get scared of us.
But as soon as Emmanuel saw them, he immediately asked...

-Hey, Mom, are they stuck? Why aren't they flying?

I had to explain that there are bad men who sometimes mistreat animals and that there is something called IBAMA that interferes in cases like this.

And these macaws were from this thing called IBAMA and were born in captivity, trapped without any contact with nature.
Unfortunately, they were unable to readapt to the environment and had to be treated like this.
The macaws at the lodge aren't always trapped and yet they don't run away, they like where they are and it's become their home.

But I thought it was great that, at the age of two, he's already aware of this and once again, staying with a child in Teresópolis has become something more.

Playground, kids' area, games room and gym!

The hostel also has a traditional playground with a swing, bridge, slide and everything a child needs to have a great time.
Emmanuel slipped and wobbled a few times, lol.

There's also a covered kids' area, so the little ones won't be locked in their room on rainy days.
With colorful rubber mats, puffs, tables and toys! Our stay was so busy that Emmanuel didn't even stop by lol.

For the bigger kids, there's also a games room with pool, foosball and table tennis!
Or even a gym to burn off the mountain fat with mini trampolines and treadmills, lol.

Swimming pool and sauna

There are two interconnected pools, very pretty with their adorned tiles and sun loungers that sit on the water's edge.
We have options both for us, with a larger size and depth, and for the little ones, where the depth and size are much smaller, making us feel more at ease.

However, apart from the lack of time, the temperature was very cold and the pool isn't heated, lol, so the courage was left for later.

As for the sauna, between a deck here and a bath there, Igor managed to escape and enjoy the warmth of the sauna, which he loves! He wasn't going to miss it and it gave him a boost of energy.

Latest thoughts on staying with children in Teresópolis

We loved the pousada, with an environment immersed in nature, where you can feel the breeze and the sound of the animals.
That place to relax and really switch off, with everything you need present.

We also liked two other things: there's free parking and free Wi-Fi everywhere!
Even those who can't switch off completely can get some peace from a strong internet signal, lol.
Our little one loved it and already wants to know when we'll be back.
We found the cost-benefit ratio to be very good, with an average of R$380.00 per night, but we found a promotion for R$280!
We searched for these prices in June 2017 via booking.
And the hostel has a 9.2 rating on booking, so it's not for everyone, right?
