BERLIN WITH CHILDREN ITINERARY OF MUST-SEES AND HOTEL

The city is full of history and family fun

Berlin is an incredible city, with activities for all ages and travel tastes. In this article I'm going to talk to you about what to do in Berlin with a child, but the activities are so much fun that any adult will have a great time too!

I'll start our itinerary by talking about something that every child likes and some adults still play with today.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center

Everyone has played with LEGO, now imagine stepping into a world made entirely of LEGO? That's how LEGOLAND Discovery Center works! There are child-sized LEGO figures and lots of fun at the various LEGO stations.

From traditional LEGOS to giant LEGOS! There's Merlin's carousel, a 4d movie theater and much more. This is a must-do for anyone going to Berlin with children. Set aside at least 2 hours of your day, but bear in mind that time flies and we stayed for a whole afternoon and still didn't want to leave.

The LEGOLAND Discovery Center Berlin is indoor, unlike the large LEGO amusement parks around the world.
The attractions are aimed at children under the age of 10, although it's not hard to see parents, like us, sitting around assembling cars or complete cities with their children.

LEGOLAND DISCOVERY

We were able to revisit some of Berlin's history in the LEGO mini city. It's sensational and we loved going back to childhood with our little one. We spent hours building a fast car and competing against each other on a super extreme track!

Emmanuel was also able to get into character and became a "Ninjago" on a circuit set up especially for the little ones to fight like ninjas. He also walked through a room full of lasers without bumping into any beams of light.

It's certainly a magical world where children will have a lot of fun.

Little Big City

Another incredible attraction, a must-see for all ages and especially for history lovers, is the Little Big City!

It's incredible, you feel like a real giant. You can see the whole of Berlin in miniature and relive historic moments in the city.

LITTLE BIG CITY

The exhibition is in chronological order and shows how the city has evolved over the years, covering all the important events in detail.

It's an incredible tour to do in Berlin with children, because as well as being able to show and tell a bit of real history, you can also interact with the miniatures or even have a chariot race, or even tear down the Berlin Wall!

Natural History Museum

Founded in 1810, it is one of the most incredible natural museums we have ever visited. Right at the entrance you can see the largest mounted dinosaur skeleton in the world!
The museum is very interactive and attracts the attention of the little ones in the more than 30 million objects on display.

The skeleton of the T Rex is also something extraordinary! Another highlight of the museum is an interactive screen where you can see the parts of a dinosaur, from its skeleton to its organs and even its skin.

There's no doubt that it's a great way for children to learn through play and see all the different forms of life on planet earth.

The museum is very good! Very interactive, you can understand what dinosaurs were like from the inside out.

Madame Tussauds

This network is present in many parts of the world and maintains the excellence of the network.

MADAME TUSSAUNDS

Of course, we know that we're not in front of a real celebrity, but the wax museum is so perfect that we can play with taking a photo and showing it to our friends, laughs.

As with others in the chain, Madame Tussauds Berlin has its own special features, and some German personalities are part of the hall of artists.

Some of the rooms are interactive, and you can play in a variety of ways and take part in a scene if you like.

The museum is really cool in this sense and our little one loved being part of a band!

Sea Life

It's an essential attraction for anyone who enjoys aquatic life, and of course, if you're going to Berlin with children, as well as seeing and learning about the animals, there's also a gymkhana for the little ones.

In certain rooms there is a riddle and you have to fill in a piece of paper throughout the tour, the children who finish this challenge win a medal! Are you ready?

But don't worry, there will be plenty of surprises along the way. How about a tunnel with lots of little fish above your head? Or even a room full of mirrors?

We loved learning more about marine animals, and I could even feel the shrimp tickling my hand.

Staying in Berlin with children

Of course, another very important point for a trip with children is the accommodation, especially when the hotel is fully prepared to receive the little ones.

PARK PLAZA ACCOMMODATION GERMANY TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN

We stayed at the Park Plaza, which is a great option for accommodation with children in Berlin, and at the entrance we were given a kit with a backpack, drawings and things to paint. Emmanuel felt very loved and liked the hotel straight away, because he hadn't even seen the room yet.

While Igor was checking us in, we were sketching in reception without even seeing the time go by!
When we got to the room, there were some sweets waiting for us and we also discovered that the television had turned into a video game, so can you imagine what a relief it was to pass the time? Emmanuel loved it and so did we!
Breakfast is super complete, with scrambled eggs, Nutella, German apple pie and much more. I was able to eat the delicious traditional German apple pie and get a taste of the city.

Get lost in Berlin

Berlin is an incredible city that breathes history and is a real open-air museum! Take the opportunity to walk around and show them everything the city has to offer. Tell the children about the wall and everything that happened, after all, knowledge is the best medicine so that things like this don't happen in the future.

BERLIN WALL WORK OF ART

Live and feel the best the city has to offer and show that everything in life can be changed, like the wall that turned from something bad into a mural of art.
