Disney Paris - A dream for all ages

Contagious magic

Of course, if you're going to Paris with children, Disney Paris is a must. See how much fun we had even in the rain:

The Disney Paris parks are very close to Paris, that's right, there are two parks, because we actually have Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.

Disney Paris opened its doors in 1992 and was then called Euro Disney. It's been 25 years of fun, making it possible to encounter the magical world of Disney in Europe.

Take advantage of special 25th anniversary discounts now.

Disney Paris is an entertainment resort in Mane-la-Vallé, a planned city 32 km from Paris.

Plan your trip well

Although Disney Paris is much smaller than the Orlando parks, I suggest you plan your visit well. The shows are unmissable and happen all the time.

I found it very hectic to visit both parks in a single day. The rain even disrupted our plans and made the logistics between the two parks very difficult.

The "fast pass" system can make your life a lot easier, but you still need to list your interest in the most popular attractions and reserve your place at the attractions' ticket booths. Take advantage of this and do it as soon as you arrive at the park.

As I said above, you need to pay close attention to the performance times. This information is available at the entrance to City Hall in leaflets available in several languages.

Another good tip is to go to Walt Disney Studios first, which closes early, at 7pm. So hold off on the excitement and leave that traditional photo in front of the castle for later, after all, it's beautiful even during the park's closing ceremony.

Each park has its own particularities and to get the most out of your experience, it's a good idea to read the following information:

How to get from Paris to Disney Paris

Disney Paris is not exactly located in Paris. It's a bit far from the city, about 32 km, but it's VERY easy to get to.

Train

I thought this was the best option, but in this case you have to be careful, after the last show you have to get ready to leave immediately, since the RER and the metro with which it is integrated, close at midnight.

We took the metro, which immediately dropped us off at RER A (Disney), costing 7.60 euros. You can buy this ticket at the self-service machines or at the kiches with the attendants.
Getting on the RER is very easy, there are signs all over the place where the metro meets the RER A. Once you're used to using the metro in Paris, there's no difficulty at all, apart from understanding the distinction between zones 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, which are used to calculate the price of your ticket. We preferred to go to the ticket office and ask how much we should pay and issue the ticket correctly, without risk.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 1 - Cris Pelo Mundo

On the RER A, remember to check if the route is in the direction of Gare de Marne la Vallée Chessy, but rest assured that it's easy to find and the Mickey symbol makes life easier.

You need to pay extra attention when you get on the train, as there are trains going to different places on the same platform, so make sure that Merne La Vallée Chessy is marked for the train in question. This information can be found on the platform panels.

The whole journey takes an average of 40 minutes and the trains are super comfortable.

Car

It seems very easy and quick, but there is the inconvenience of having to pay for parking.
It takes an average of 36 minutes and it's only 43.4 km along the A4. There are also traffic concerns. The advantage is that you don't have to worry about running out after the park closes.

36 min (43.4 km) via A4

Fast Pass

The Fast Pass at Disney Paris is completely different. To begin with, there are few attractions that offer this possibility and they are usually rides for older children or adults, only the most popular ones.

When you arrive at the park, look for all the rides that offer the fast pass service and run to them. You'll then find a ticket office where you'll get a ticket with a scheduled time so that you can enjoy the attraction with reduced queues.
Remember, availability is limited and you may miss out on the Fast Pass on some occasions because you're at another attraction, which is what happened to us. So plan ahead.

Single Rider

This is a great option for those who want to save time and enjoy an attraction without having to go with their companion.
Usually this option is for roller coasters and more radical attractions. In other words, while I was on a toy with the little one or vice versa, Igor was enjoying the adrenaline rush on a single rider.

In our case, the single rider worked MUCH better than the Fast Pass. I confess that if there had been proper planning, this wouldn't have happened, but I also confess that I'm not the type to plan...lol I live for the thrill and at Disney, with or without planning, there's no shortage of thrills, even the joy of getting your turn on the crowded ride =) It adds value, you know? lol

Disneyland Paris APP

Yes, the world of apps is making our lives easier, and I think it's great! If you want to go to the park, download it now, it's available on the google e Apple, start choosing your favorite attractions now, it will save you time and improve your experience in the park.
As well as showing you the whole park and the time of each queue, this app also shows you where the characters are for photos. They're everywhere at almost fixed points.

Can you imagine walking around the park chasing small queues or any characters? I like this app!

I was connected for 100% because I had an international SIM card. YESBRASILAll you have to do is use the word "CPM" in the discount code field.

Food.

Disney Paris allows sealed and industrialized food.

I took bottles of water, juice and cookies and had no problem getting in, which helped us a lot throughout the day.

The prices are steep inside, but I ended up finding a snack bar next to the Buzz toy with a good price on the kids' menu, to which I added nuggets and had a nice meal with a burger, potato, fruit and a drink for 12 euros! We also had a panini with salmon for 6 euros, nhammm, and I couldn't wait to buy the popcorn for the souvenir celebrating the 25th anniversary of Disney Paris for 9 euros hihihi.

There is also a free buffet option for 32 euros, which might be worthwhile if you're a "lunch person".

Check out the options on the website.

Timetable and maps

Even with the app, it's a good idea to get a map and schedule of the shows from the Disney entrance.
There I was able to see all the special and traditional shows, as well as the places where the most beloved characters usually appear.

It made my first impression of the park much easier and then I just monitored them through the app. google e Apple.

Baby stroller

There is also the option of renting baby carriages, which cost 15 euros per day and the rental point is right at the entrance to the Disneyland park or Walt Disney Studios.
In both, as soon as you pass the turnstiles, turn right and there it's easy to take your trolley or even wheelchairs.
We don't need it, we take our transformer that turns into a backpack lol. Warrior stroller and inseparable companion for all our trips.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 32 - Cris Pelo Mundo

I thought it was nice that the whole park is set up to accommodate strollers or wheelchairs. There are special spaces for strollers or wheelchairs at the entrance turnstiles and ramps throughout the park.
I didn't really like the "stroller parking" areas, which were usually far from the queues and in uncovered areas, meaning the stroller got soaked.
We went on a VERY rainy day, but luckily for us the little one had a raincoat on and could only get into the stroller with it on.

Parks

Disneyland Paris

It's the main park, home to the traditional parades and the closing show.

It is divided into 5 areas:

Main Street U.S.A.

It's where the main stores are and we went crazy straight away with one thing more beautiful than the next.
It was there that I found a backpack for 7.99 euros that we found very useful! And also where we bought a raincoat for Emmanuel, for 10 euros!!! I thought the raincoat was too expensive, but it rained a lot the day we went and the raincoat I took for him ripped when it was attached to the wheels of the stroller.

This is where you should be to see the parades, and I suggest staying as close to the central square as possible. After the parade there is a lot of interaction in this area.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 29 - Cris Pelo Mundo
We went at the time of the special pirates and princesses show and they stopped right in this square to make fun, so whoever stayed there did well.

It was in this area that we met Daisy and Pluto, Emmanuel loved them! I think Pluto is his favorite character.

Fantasyland.

It's here that adults also become children and we can go back to childhood with Disney classics!
Our first attraction was Sleeping Beauty Castle. Downstairs there is a store with Christmas decorations that will drive anyone crazy, there is a Mickey Christmas hat and everything from this magical date, the store is like this all year round.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 2 - Cris Pelo Mundo
On the second floor you can see stained-glass windows with the story of Sleeping Beauty and a balcony with a view of the park from above.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 24 - Cris Pelo Mundo
Disneyland Paris, unlike Disney in Orlando, doesn't have Cinderella's Castle, but Sleeping Beauty's instead.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 38 - Cris Pelo Mundo

Don't get lost in the world of attractions in this area, from there we ran to see Mickey! It's one of the busiest attractions and it's only open until 7pm. We queued for about 40 minutes, but we didn't even see the time go by.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 35 - Cris Pelo Mundo

While we waited in line, we felt as if we were in a theater. On the big screen, several classic cartoons of the little mouse and his gang were playing.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 3 - Cris Pelo Mundo

Another VERY Disney toy is Dumbo the Flying, which is also in this area, and for the young ladies, don't miss the Princess Pavillion and meet your favorite princesses.

The only toy that has a Fast Pass in this area is Peter Pan's Flight.

Discoveryland

This is the futuristic area and there are three Fast Pass options:

Star Wars Mountain, which Igor unfortunately didn't get to go to, as it wasn't available for reservations when we arrived, but it looks pretty cool.

Star Tours, a 3d attraction that Igor went to and said it was silly, nothing very interesting, but worth a visit for fans of the movie.

Buzz Lightyear Laser Blaster, which was the most fun for us! Emmanuel did it again and didn't want to stop going with us until the park closed! Watch YouTube video from 10:46.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 11 - Cris Pelo Mundo
In this adventure, we're Buzz's helpers against Zurg, with laser shots and a little competition as to who's in charge.
While Igor and I shot, Emmanuel controlled the ship by spinning us around. It was really good fun and we loved playing together.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 22 - Cris Pelo Mundo

It was in this area that we had a great snack at the Videopolis Theatre, where there are some fast food options.

Adventureland

This is an area I wanted to spend more time in, but the rain wouldn't let me.
There is one attraction with a Fast Pass, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, which looked like a lot of fun, but we didn't have time to go on it either. The minimum height allowed for this attraction is 1.40m and we preferred to give priority to the rides that Emmanuel could enjoy.
Some rides are open, such as Pirate's Beach, which was closed in the rain.
We managed to enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean, a little boat that passes many pirates and we got to see Captain Jack, but the little one was scared and didn't enjoy it very much.
They've really taken care of the dolls.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN JACK SPAROW DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 39

Frontierland

As it was raining a LOT, we didn't get through this area.
There is one attraction with a Fast Pass, Big Thunder Mountain, minimum height 1.02m

Walt Disney Studios

It's a very quick park to visit, divided into 5 areas.

Front Lot

It's an area with restaurants and stores, completely covered, which was a relief from the rain.

Right next to the gas station from the movie Cars is the entrance to the store that Emmanuel liked the most, the Marvel store, with lots of superhero dolls.
We ended up buying a game with six Marvel heroes for 20 euros.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 14 - Cris Pelo Mundo

As soon as we left the covered part, we came across the creature and the creator, a more than traditional Disney statue. Then came a fork in the road, where we split up:

Production

Igor headed to this area, where the famous Tower of Terror is located, the only attraction in the area that has a Fast Pass.
Do you know that classic elevator that plummets and opens up so you can see the park plummeting at your feet? That's right.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 10 - Cris Pelo Mundo
It rises and falls at intervals and then falls again! You're crazy, aren't you? But he loved it. Watch his happiness on video!

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 9 - Cris Pelo Mundo

This is also where you'll find Stitch Live. This show has different times and languages available, so check which is best for you.

Toon Studio

This is where the little ones have a great time.
While Igor was falling from I don't know how many floors, I went with the little one to Ratatouille, the only attraction with a Fast Pass in this area.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 4 - Cris Pelo Mundo
Since we're in Paris, I couldn't have chosen a better attraction, could I? I loved the Ratatouille area! They've reproduced the scenes from the movie perfectly and there's also Rémy's restaurant, which actually works.
Ahhh, you become a little mouse in the toy, with the right to enter the movie and even feel the heat of the stove.

Everything is simulated in 4D and the little one still says he was Ratatouille for a day lol.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 15 - Cris Pelo Mundo

After that, I met up with Igor again and they went on a ride-along, having fun like kids.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 20 - Cris Pelo Mundo

And straight ahead we find Minnie and Mr. Incredible, adding more magic to the bill =)

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 6 - Cris Pelo Mundo

But the adventure wasn't over and while Igor plummeted once again like the little soldiers from Toy Story, I went with Emmanuel on his first "roller coaster", the Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin, speed and twisting with the right hand in the air and shouts of uhulll, repeated four times and wanting more. Watch this thrill at video.

DISNEY PARIS CRISSTILBEN CRIS PELOMUNDO 5 - Cris Pelo Mundo
Another attraction we wanted to go to, but didn't have time for, was the RC Racer, where you turn into a Hot Wheels car sliding down the tracks.

Baclot

We didn't go to this part, but it's where the Rock'n Roller is, the only roller coaster I really wanted to go on, but we didn't have time, the rain really disrupted our schedule, I think we'll have to make the sacrifice of going back to the park.
The minimum height is 1.20m and there is a Fast Pass.

This is also the area where you'll find the Armageddon special effects attraction. There you can also meet Spider-Man near the Blockbuster Café, but unfortunately we couldn't.

What I thought of Disney Paris

I was really surprised, the rides are a lot of fun and it's great for the little ones! We love Disney Paris.
I love that it's much easier to find the characters than I remember in Orlando, they're at their meeting points almost all the time.
The closing show is simply SENSATIONAL! I confess I thought it was even better than the Orlando show.

As for the parade, I thought it was pretty weak, but they may have reduced the number of characters because it was raining. Some shows were canceled throughout the day for this very reason.

I found it very busy to do both parks in the same day, especially if you want to see most of the shows.
The queues were considerably full and we went on a MONDAY.
Disney Paris is really busy.

I found the staff very smiley and welcoming, as is the Disney standard, and the park very clean, with impeccable restrooms.
The Disney magic is indescribable and being able to take my little one on this dream trip is priceless!
We loved the experience and already want more, much more!

My thanks to Airfrance, Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau and Disneyland Paris for giving us these moments.
