The point of the Olympics!

In a few days, the whole world will be looking at Brazil, more precisely at my wonderful city, Rio de Janeiro, and this has really messed with our routine!
A lot of new things are appearing every day and hotels, restaurants and parties are getting ready for the big event.

We went to enjoy first-hand the Hilton point, which promises to entertain the bar crowd with the best we have to offer. The quality of the Hilton brand is no secret, so what comes from them can only be WONDERFUL!!! Highly regarded throughout the world, Hilton now has more than 570 hotels around the globe. In Rio de Janeiro, Hilton Barra is the brand's first development, with 14,000m² of pure sophistication!

The idea of Hilton Point was sensational, I myself really missed things like this in Barra, they added a lot to the neighborhood, if you walk around the South Zone you come across a bar on every corner, or something to enjoy a beautiful happy hour, but in Barra I hardly see things like this, so the Hilton took advantage of its privileged location, as it is only 5 minutes from the Olympic Park. So here's the tip: the best thing about the Olympics is enjoying the outdoor gardens with a themed lounge, inspired by the Carioca climate and the food truck concept, with waiters dressed as Lapa scoundrels, as well as lots of good music, the DJs will rock the dance floor with jazz, Bossa Nova, MPB, Pop Rock and of course roda de samba, which has been given its own day and will take place on Sundays.

The menu was created by the Argentine chef Emiliano Sabino, who is passionate about the spices he met in Brazil and knew how to translate our taste very well - magnificent! There will be pork steak skewers with guava barbecue sauce, Angus steak marinated in Teryiaki sauce, chicken with herbs and black garlic and even sausage with farofa, all roasted over the coals for R$30.00, hummmm!!! There are also other options such as scallops with mango sauce, grilled salmon with tarragon butter and a good lemon sauce!!!

 

You can also try savory and stuffed waffles, I loved the parma with sundried tomatoes, or the salmon waffles, they were delicious! Another suggestion that blew me away was the ceviche, the best of all!

The drinks aren't far behind, they managed to use our fruit and make an infusion that worked really well, whether with the traditional caipirinha that will cost R$30.00 or the shakes, which are divine, I loved them! I started with the coconut one, which was very weak and sweet, and then migrated to the passion fruit one, which is a delight, the special thing is that it comes served inside a real passion fruit.

The venue is beautifully decorated and has two areas, one completely open to the public, with outdoor seating, and the other more sheltered, where guests and people who put their names on the list will have access to drinks and food.
