Ideal stroller for traveling

Which one to choose?

One of the things that took me the longest to decide what to buy for my baby was a baby carriage. I went to several stores, read a thousand reviews, compared prices, tested, but none of them really appealed to me. After all, I wanted to combine the useful with the pleasant, something that was all in one.
Compact, light, it could be used as a car seat, a comfort baby, a moses, it could be used as a cradle when we traveled and it could transport the baby safely in any car or van! Ohhh and of course, being easy to close and transport, is that too much to ask?
Nowadays, the more versatile, lighter and safer, the better! I've seen several like this, but at exorbitant prices, even Hollywood's darling, the Stooke, but the surreal R$7mil charged for it here in Brazil made me give up on the spot, even abroad it's still very expensive! Of course it's very good, but I'm sure I could get something just as good for less. I kept looking and found a beautiful one by Chicco, an Italian brand of excellent quality, firm, all in one, but I felt it wasn't the one for me yet. The price was around R$3,000, half the price of the other one, but when we closed it, it was still a bit hefty. The baby's comfort was unquestionable, all padded and nice, but I wanted something more compact, really to take anywhere.

I didn't give up, I searched, I searched and it was around 8 months into my pregnancy that, on an unpretentious trip to the mall, I found it! It immediately caught my eye and, best of all, it was national and even cheaper!

Kiddo's Eclipse stroller, very versatile, compact and easy to handle and half the price of Chicco's, R$1,500.00!!! Of course, the firmness and quality of the Italian is better, but it's still safe too. It's not as robust and padded, but that makes it more compact, and if you want it more padded, just put a cover on it and it'll be lovely and comfortable.
But is it resistant? Can it withstand impact? Can I check it on the plane with peace of mind?
I really enjoyed every experience I had with him.
First, I used it as a cradle to sit next to my bed for Emmanuel's first 15 days, I covered it well to make it cozy. The height of the baby carriage was great, exactly the same as the bed, which helped a lot, plus the height makes it easy to drive and you don't have to bend over at all, it's just the right height even to accommodate or interact with him.

The days went by and I ended up using the stroller more and more, at home as a cradle or on the road, since it also comes with a car seat, which makes it very easy, just detach the car seat from the stroller and put it in the car, easy, easy! What's more, even though the car seat is already included with this model, if you're in a cab or a friend's car there's no problem, it can be attached by the seat belt without any complications. Whether on a plane, in a van or in a car.

Once I've adapted to the stroller, the security of having a stroller by my side that I already know how to handle and is all in one is priceless.
If you travel a lot like I do, you have to put it in the balance: practicality is the key word. Carrying it anywhere and not having to depend on the structure of the place really helps to avoid any headaches.

Of course, as time goes by, things change and as he's already grown up a lot, I'm looking at the next model, since the practical model for going out in the car is with the baby carrier, which is already at its limit. The larger piece is only useful for walks around the neighborhood, when I don't need a car, since there are two pieces and the larger one doesn't fit a baby carrier, which increases the volume in the trunk of the car a lot. When the baby reaches 9 months of age, the ideal is a model that opens and closes like an umbrella, which is more practical. In this case, the Chicco one comes with an umbrella.

I hope you enjoyed it!

See you next time.
