Zoo Lujan tips, how to get there, prices and much more!
Ahhh the most awaited day has arrived!!! I went to Buenos Aires wanting very much to go to this zoo... even the idea of going to Argentina came up as soon as I heard about the Zoo, and it only got bigger every day, so I've put together some tips about Zoo Lujan here.
I was very anxious... we woke up, I showered and we went down to breakfast! It's always delicious! It was me, Mimi and Wolter (the Dutchman), Rapha was ill so he didn't come down, so we brought him his coffee in his room! Very chic lol
Ahh the dulce de leche... the yoghurt... everything that made me happy =p very, very, very tasty!!!! We finished and went upstairs. Rapha took his and we ran downstairs! Because my friend was already downstairs at reception waiting for us... we took the little map and asked the guy at reception to scribble it down and show us how to get to the zoo, since it was far from the city... And he showed us everything perfectly.
How to get there? Follow us! The five of us headed for the Metro, the famous Subte (short for Underground, as it's called), I bought a return ticket straight away and the rest a one-way ticket... we got on and walked to Plaza Italia, got off and soon saw a rather different advertisement... it was for a national film about a superhero and we found it very curious... Of course we took photos... we took lots of photos on the way! We went to a bank to change our money into coins... the buses there only accept coins... Wolter took the opportunity to get more money from the ATM and complained a lot about the service charge that was levied... he thought it was too expensive!
We left the bench, crossed the square and then went to the bus stop that would take us... it was line 57!!! God, we spent a good few minutes, let alone hours standing in the sun... luckily it wasn't too hot =)
What can you do in a queue waiting for the bus? Of course, take lots of photos... take glasses from one person... take glasses from another... put them on... take photos... take them off... and so time passed!!! And the bus finally arrived! We sat down and enjoyed the scenery... for the first 20 minutes... because then we blacked out... it was more than an hour's ridem!!!! The zoo was right in the middle of the road... we arrived... we got off... we crossed and hallelujah... we entered the zoo!
We went inside and saw something a bit different... war tanks... cars... and everything else... we didn't really understand... until
because a zoo usually has animals and not cars... but we soon realized that, as well as a zoo, there was also a museum of vintage cars... very cool by the way =D
We continued walking and were given a map with the location of the animals... we went straight to the cage of the baby lions... beautiful... we were apprehensive... they were babies... but still Lions... and they weren't that small!!! And there were two lionesses... who are more aggressive than lions lol... we each sat on the side and took some photos with the animals... one of them stood up... stretched out and played with the railing... really beautiful animals... beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! We left straight for the cougar cubs... we saw other animals... we played with capybaras... tiger cubs... little tigers... beautiful... when we got close they would give their bellies to be stroked... very cute!!! We went to the garden with the hopping rabbits... we sweated to catch one... pet it and take a photo with it... and then we went on to the coolest part of the zoo... The huge Tigers, adults... the bears... dromedaries... elephants... (I'll talk about them in the next post)
