Miami!

There are a few trips between Chile and Mimai, but I'm going to write about this one because it was the last one and it's all fresh in my mind =)
It was the first weekend after New Year's and the first of many in 2012!
A bit of a long way to go, but! It's off!

It all started with an idea.
Shopping in Miami? I wanted to buy my Nikon, my most beloved camera... and according to the math it would be cheaper to go to Miami to buy it than to just buy it here... tempting idea... and I'd get to know a new place... hummm delightful! And Igor still wanted to buy a few more things =p
Ahhh this is only possible because I'm a beneficiary of Tam, I get cheaper tickets =) otherwise it would be cheaper to buy here =p
It would be a crazy round trip! I'd leave work on Friday at 5pm, get ready there and Igor would pick me up to go to the airport, he'd work and we'd go from there... the flight would leave at 10pm and he'd work from 7pm to 10pm... and we'd come back on Sunday... That's just one day in Miami...
All ok in theory... at 5pm I get a call...
Cris, I'm still in Barra... I don't think there'll be time... and I'm packed and ready at work... very "happy" because someone was LATE... hunf... and even if we weren't late, there was a risk that we wouldn't get on the plane. But this benefit isn't that simple. You only board if there's a spare seat on the plane =p. so you only know if you're actually going to travel... AT THE TIME!
30 minutes later another call. Yeah, I'm still in São Conrado, try to go home and I'll pick you up there. Because if I'm late for work, it won't work... otherwise I won't even keep my hours.
Fine... I tried THREE TAXIS and NONE would take me home, they all said they were going to stay in Tijuca, they would only take me if I went through TIJUCA.... Hunf... at that point I called and told them to give up and we wouldn't be going any more. While I was talking to him, a cab drove by, stopped and ALELUIA agreed to wash me!
I ran out and went home. I arrived at 6pm.
Where are you? São Conrado still, there's a lot of traffic! But A LOT... I don't think there'll be time...
At that moment I was changing my clothes until 6:30 p.m. he called me and... Come down (it was raining) and meet me across the street, let's try! I called my supervisor and he said there would be time and to give it a try!
Oh my dad! What a mess, I got dressed again and ran out into the rain with my overcoat, suitcase, etc. all wrapped up...
And as if by magic, I got into the car and ... THE TRAFFIC STOPPED, hUahUahuAhuAhUAh it really looked like something out of a movie =) unbelievable...
We only hit a bit of traffic near the island, but it was supposed to give us a chill and not be so easy =p
We arrived, looked for a spot and there was one in particular waiting for us, which I looked at and screamed, ALI!!! It's still covered! Your car won't even get rained on this weekend =) lálálá
We ran and made it on time, I couldn't believe it!
Now there's just one more question: would we get on? The flight was full, we would only go if someone was missing... would we? Oh dear...

I waited until boarding time, while Igor finished his work. I kept writing, as I always like to do, walked around the airport as I liked to do and the next thing I knew, the time had passed and he was rushing to change his clothes and get his bags from the car.
Boarding time, is there any left? Yes, two seats lol. You're going! Lie hauahuahuah am I lucky? =p
Well, at least that's what he said, that I was VERY lucky =D
We boarded and now it was only 9 hours to Miami... We sat down, ate, tried to sleep, but I couldn't find a blessed position, I turned around more than anything and I couldn't find it, the seat was weird and even though it was tiny, a girl who could fit anywhere, I couldn't find myself =( ... time went by and as I couldn't sleep, I kept trying to see a bit of the scenery, then came breakfast... and the arrival in the new city... But as always, there were a few unforeseen events lol.
