Munich - Holiday 2012

Munich Airport

The beginning

Finally, I got on the plane from Paris to Munich, the last two seats on the flight! Very lucky! Since on this vacation the only certainty I had was... I would enter Europe through Paris and leave through London... the middle was doubtful hauhauhauha ahhh and I had a cruise leaving Italy on the 13th, so Munich was an improvisation hehehehe but I managed to get on board and get to know one more place, or at least I thought I could do it easily!
As I didn't know if I was going to get on the plane, I didn't book a hotel... this caused me a bit of a problem... my plane arrived late, it was almost midnight... I took the train to the city center and from there I would try to find a hotel... my dream, my dream...
I didn't know there was a festival going on in the city either, Tollwood and that ended up crowding the city!
I don't travel with a lot of suitcases, that's how lucky I was, because I had to leave the train station and walk like crazy, looking for somewhere to stay... of course I had some hotel addresses but they were no use... they were full all week! I kept walking and walking and nothing happened, no vacancies for at least the next three days... my desperation grew.
Thank goodness it was warm and the rain that was forecast didn't fall! Sleepy, hungry, wanting a change of clothes... and now what? CARACA no hotel! And it was already dawn.
I was beginning to think that it wouldn't be very good to go traveling aimlessly hehehehe and that I'd have to go back to the train station or airport to sleep on the ground...
The regret of getting to know my German side of the name was trying to show up... why did I want to leave Paris and make the most of the days in Italy? But I knew that something would work out, deep down I knew... or at least I really wanted it to!
I kept walking for a while, down a street that had at least 40 hotels, and I couldn't even find one!!! Everywhere I looked there were groups of young people, in bars and chatting happily, how I wanted to be calm like that...
Well, I stopped at a hotel and there was a really crazy guy at reception, he chatted with us and we ordered a beer, there was nothing else to do, from there it was the airport and trying to get to Rome soon...
He said that all the rooms were full, and his shift ended at 6am, that if we wanted we could lie down on the sofa and rest until his shift changed... and that's what we did, like two beggars hauhauahuahuah until we were woken up by a guy saying that unfortunately we couldn't stay there, we slept for a little over 2 hours, but it was a good refreshment, I looked at Igor and said....
Dude, we're here, the flight to Rome is much later, we go to the metro station, leave our bags in the locker, get to know the city a bit and then we go back to the airport and leave for Rome, we're already screwed, at least we're screwed enjoying it.
I didn't really have any options left, the day was "lost" and I wanted to try to save it, so I went to the bathroom, washed my face and we hugged.
Bags packed and off to find a place to have coffee, faminnntaaaa, stressed, tired... but eager to get to know the city hihihi, even with all the confusion I felt such a good energy in the city that it was impossible to be in a bad mood.
How could I not expect a surprise? There's always something and it always ends well =) after all, there's no such thing as bad weather when travelingmm, I've participated in demonstrations, bombs, fires, tear gas, people running around screaming, hitting each other... I got stuck outside the hotel... what would it be like to sleep on the street? Nothing. hehehehe
Without the weight of the suitcase and with the cafés and markets opening up, my smile started to appear... I bought some chocolates, Kinder Ovo and continued aimlessly, until... tcharammmm very good surpriseaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I'll only tell you about it in the next post, =p
