Review Hotel Le Relais La Borie

A little piece of France in Búzios

At the foot of Geribá Beach, the most popular in Búzios, lies one of the best hotels in the city, the Le Relais La Borie Built in 1986, the hotel has been steeped in French tradition ever since, with tones and styles from the south of France featured in all 41 rooms.

All the care and refinement that went into the Condé Nast Johansens, a publication that chooses the best hotels in each region, and whose evaluation parameters are gastronomy, exclusivity and location. Without a doubt, Le Relais La Borie wins many points in all these areas!
I don't even need to talk about the location, facing the Geribá sea, close to several "points" of young and beautiful people, the hotel offers surf lessons and much more! The pampering starts at the reception desk, where you are greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and madaleines, or water and soft drinks for those who don't drink.

As soon as we arrived at the rooms, we noticed the care taken. I felt at home, with cozy decor and a soft, comfortable bed, as well as a relaxing balcony to read or write my texts. The bath kit with L'occitane products is worth a mention, nothing could be more appropriate for this place with its French charm, I loved it!

I loved everything about it, but I really enjoyed the outside of the hotel, with its heated and covered hydromassage pool, sauna, garden and two wonderful pools facing the sea, one heated and the other at room temperature near the bar. I don't even need to mention that the largest pool was where I stayed almost all the time, right? An incredible view, with sun loungers that would make anyone dream. Even with the beach in front of you, you'll want to take advantage of all the hotel's pampering. Even I, a beach lover, only managed to take three dips, as the atmosphere is so addictive, it was without a doubt my favorite place there.

Breakfast is served in the hotel's restaurant, overlooking the heated pool and the beach framed by two beautiful coconut trees that give the setting an extra charm. It's even better with a varied menu, with their brioches and a wide choice of breads, wonderful side dishes and a dulce de leche that I prayed for!

Speaking of sweets, I salivate at the thought! However, I confess that I don't know if the coffee was my favorite meal there. Normally, on holiday packages (which was my case) they serve a delicious feijoada for lunch on Saturdays. I don't know if Frances knows how to make feijoada or not, but this was one of the best I've ever had in my entire life! There was a choice of just beans, with the meats separated out so you could assemble them your way, crackling, ribs, plantains, cassava, cabbage and everything else we're entitled to, and there was even a cachaça with honey to go with it - are they careful with us or not? Every detail is thought of! The well-being of their guests is really valued, I loved what I saw there and I confess that in few places have I noticed so much pampering like this, I loved it!!!

I really enjoyed my stay, I felt like a queen among dear friends, very well looked after, with a place that is a little piece of French paradise, it's impossible not to like it.
