A plethora of options.
Last weekend I went to Gramado and had the opportunity to visit the 9th Gramado Culture and Gastronomy Festival.
The Gramado Culture and Gastronomy Festival takes place in the center of town, separated into three hubs: one in Rua Coberta, another in Praça Major Nicoletti and the last in Rua Pedro Benetti.
There are only two weeks left of the festival, which ends on October 15, but you still have one more week to taste the delicacies.
About the Gramado Culture and Gastronomy Festival
A total of 18 restaurants are taking part in the Gramado Culture and Gastronomy Festival.
They offer recipes for a single price of R$25.00 for savory foods and R$15.00 for sweets.
There are also more than 15 places selling drinks ranging from craft beers to Argentine wineries.
To enjoy the drinks, you need to buy a glass cup for R$15.00. The good thing is that you can take it home and use it as a souvenir.
Dishes at popular prices
I was very doubtful about which stand to choose, so I opted for the temakeria, what would Japanese food be like in Gramado? lol
But other dishes made me very curious, such as Dona Josefina's risotto, which I'll have to return to the city to try.
I noticed that some of the dishes were more like snacks and not as well served, but I was satisfied with my choice.
Ahhh at the Gramado Culture and Gastronomy Festival, there's only local soft drink, Fruki! I ordered the Guaraná and I liked it, it's not so sweet.
There are also options for water and alcoholic drinks, as I mentioned above.
Experimental kitchen
The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. with lots of good music and some workshops, which they call experimental cooking, given by national and international chefs.
In the program of the Culture and Gastronomy Festival, you'll find chefs, sommeliers and winemakers who will give these worshops and at the end we can try a little of what was presented to us.
I loved the experience! I didn't see any long queues, the experimental kitchen is free and limited to 40 places at a time. The experience I took part in didn't even take 30 minutes and I was able to taste a delicious potted meat made by a chef from Mendoza with local spices.
I enjoyed the experience and missed Argentina a little.
The recipes are varied, from cheese bread to alfajores and empanadas!
If you like this attraction, prepare yourself and keep an eye on the schedule, as it's not open on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Ahh, the little ones weren't left out, there was also Petit Chefs on October 6th!
It was a pizza making workshop, where the little ones literally got their hands dirty, I really want to take the little one next year!
Brazil and Argentina closer.
The Gramado Culture and Gastronomy Festival has been planned since November 2016 and is a very well-structured event! A perfect marriage between Brazilian and German culture, which, by the way, is being honored in this edition.
There's one thing we can't deny: our neighbors know a thing or two about food and wine, and they've come to show us a bit more.
The region chosen was Mendoza, from where four renowned Mendoza chefs came to head up kitchens and wineries.
Festins
It is at this party that the festival has also thought of a very tasty attraction for years to enjoy.
The feasts are dinners paired with Brazilian and Argentine recipes and good wines!
The dinners have limited places and cost R$ 250.00 per person, but having dishes that unify the two cultures and also having wines paired by professionals in the field is something worthwhile.
Taste and harmony make all the difference in this experience.
Festive program:
13/10 Bouquet Garni - Chef Matías Aldasoro (Zuccadi Winery)
10/14 Nonno Mio - Chef Santiago Maestre (Casa El Enemigo Winery)
15/10 Parque Gaúcho Restaurant - Country honored 2018 - Uruguay
Gastronomic Tour
Yes, but if you think the program is over, you're wrong! The Gramado Culture and Gastronomy Festival is full of surprises and you can even take part in a gastronomic tour, which continues until the end of October.
The establishments taking part in the Gramado Culture and Gastronomy Festival are offering dishes in their homes for a single price of R$43.00.
One restaurant is tastier than the next, so prepare your hunger and go and enjoy yourself, because one thing we do well in Gramado is eat!
I love food festivals and I think it's great to be able to gather a lot of good restaurants in the same place. It makes it much easier to feel and taste a bit of everything!
I went on this trip at the invitation of the Bloggers' Meeting in Gramado, organized by Fran from the blog Trips we dream of, in partnership with the Gramado Tourism Office.
Thank you very much for the invitation and I look forward to returning next year with the whole family.
